Message From Our Pastor

In the book of Matthew Chapter 22:37-40 Jesus answers the questions, what is the greatest commandment. He says love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. He then goes on to say the second is like it, love your neighbor as yourself. In this world full of turmoil and discord it is amazing what love can do. In the spring of 2004 God created a union between a man who had very little to offer a church other than love and devotion, and a congregation that was just looking for someone to love, and who would love them. In the years since God has seen fit to bless this union far beyond anyone’s comprehension. I believe the main reason Wayside Baptist Church has received such great blessings is because of the desire of its people to love. We recognize the supremacy of God and love Him with all our hearts. The great love that we have for God is shown in the love that we have for others. Wayside is a refuge filled with love and hope for a lost and hurting world. We are by no means perfect; we merely strive everyday to love others as Christ has loved you. You can search the world over and you will never find a place where you will be able to experience the love of God and the love of others more than you will here at Wayside.
